By Anastasia: You know those moments when everything seems to be going smoothly—your life feels organized,
your plans are perfectly in place, and you’re gliding along effortlessly… Then BAM! A hurricane blows through, derailing your carefully laid plans. You didn’t see it coming, and now you’re wondering, “Why is this happening to me?”
You’re not alone. The answer is simple: It’s an opportunity for your growth, for elevation to the next level, a higher calling, and a chance to realign your life’s course.
I recall a client who came to me in tears years ago, asking the same question: “Why is this happening?” My response: “It’s to save you from yourself.” It’s easy to point fingers at others or external circumstances, but a shorter, more rewarding path is to pause, center yourself, and acknowledge that things aren’t going according to your plan. In that stillness, clarity will come—showing you what to do next.
When we react immediately with frustration or stress, we miss the valuable lesson embedded in the disruption. How many times have I misplaced my keys or glasses, only to find them later and realize that this small inconvenience may have saved me from being caught in a far worse situation, like a traffic accident? These “missteps” are often blessings in disguise.
One of the tools I emphasize in moments like these is the power of your breath. When plans go awry, pause and focus on your breathing to help you center yourself. It brings blood flow back to your brain and reminds you of your humanity. Trust that all things work together for your highest good, even when it doesn’t feel that way in the moment.
Life doesn’t always match the perfect picture in our minds, and the fleeting dopamine hits we get from new relationships, jobs, or adventures are temporary. The real magic lies in the long game—slow, steady, and mindful. It helps to laugh at yourself and say, “Well, I didn’t see that coming!”
These unexpected changes are designed to bring you to your highest good, your best, and truest self. No matter how things unfold, remember that the lesson is always to stay flexible. You’ll be okay, even if things don’t happen according to your original plan. Relax. Let the universe guide you. Be still, wait, listen, smile, and most importantly—let go.
You are blessed, full of love and light at all times, even when you don’t feel that way. Emotions may come and go, but the light of your consciousness always shines.
Peace for the days ahead, and light for the way.
