By Sue: Have you found yourself in a space where nothing is working for you?
You try and try to create or repair things, but they just won’t fall into place. What you have done before just falls flat, and in the end, you realize – all you can do is stand back and allow. What will be, will be. It’s scary because everything you are used to seems to have ceased.
If you’re honest with yourself, there have most likely been signs letting you know this is not the best path for you. You’ve felt like it’s time to move on in some way, to start anew, but not known what to do. Or maybe you have known but not trusted yourself. Sometimes that feeling is very general… like, “I just need to STOP for a while, regroup my energies before trying to go forward.” Then that fear comes in, “What will I do in the meantime?” All the ‘what ifs’ start going around in your head, and the worry builds.
Take some deep breaths and quiet your mind.
If you find yourself feeling that way, you can be assured that your soul is supporting you. Take a minute to calm down, and you will find a way to take that time. Nothing is working anyway, so you are only wasting your energy by persisting. The most important thing is to listen to your inner voice. If it is saying “stop and just be for a while,” listen to it. It may not mean stopping everything, but stop trying to force those things that aren’t working or going smoothly. There is a reason this is happening in your life. Hear yourself. Your soul will support you… that is where the feeling is coming from!
You may find later that you can see a different path, or a better way, or you may just be exhausted and need time out. While you are taking that break, try to relax. If you stop doing things but then spend the whole time thinking about the things you have stopped, or how to replace them, it is not taking a break; it is just the illusion of a break.
Take a real break: rest, relax, sleep. Switch your mind off – a great way to do this is to get absorbed in a movie, do something arty, get out in the garden, go for a walk and connect with nature. Meditate, or do some sort of physical activity to help burn off stress. Do whatever appeals to you – without self-judgment.
When you chase answers, they elude you. If you let go of the question, the answer will just magically come to your mind. Don’t worry if it takes some time. This is about getting into the flow.
Rather than fearing these times in life, you can be excited about them. They are showing you that you have grown. What you were doing no longer serves you, and it is time to level up in some way. Let the fear go, know that there is a positive outcome, and get into the right space to receive it.
These times of deep change can be really difficult to get through on your own. It can be hard to listen to your inner voice while your friends and family are probably telling you to take action. If you need support and guidance through these times from someone who understands, please come and have a session.
Love & Light,
Sue
