By Ernst: Building knowledge about one of the most important Spiritual Laws: ‘The Law of Life’, is an important part of our life training.

What exactly are ‘Spiritual Laws’? So which ones are there? How do they work? And why should one do the work?

At school we all learn that there is such a thing as ‘the law of gravity’ (officially: Newton’s law of gravitation). We may even be introduced to this law experimentally: if you knock a cup off the table and the coffee makes a huge stain in your carpet, for example. Then you know: ‘Yes, that gravity works!’

But how exactly does it work…? You may have remembered something about it, but other than that you just ‘know’. There are even more of these laws of nature that always apply. Whether we know them or not, whether we understand exactly how they work or not. It’s operation does not depend on our belief or our knowledge about it.

What exactly is a law of nature or ‘scientific law’? The characteristic of a law is that it always applies and never changes. And, of course, the concept of ‘Law’ also stands for: ‘it must be done’.

Spiritual Laws

What we do not learn at school is that there are such things as ‘Spiritual Laws’. Laws that – whether we know them or not – always apply and never change. Look, all those complicated laws of nature work anyway. And it seems like no matter what you try, we can’t influence it. When you want to turn off the gravity for a brief moment, it will not happen! But we can consciously let those Spiritual Laws work for us. We don’t need to know exactly ‘how’ and ‘why’ they work. When we gain knowledge about what they mean and how they work, we can use them to our advantage.

Let’s list the most important Spiritual Laws:

The Law of Life: energy follows attention

The Law of Life is also called the ‘Law of the First Cause’. Building knowledge about and honoring this important Spiritual Law is a large part of our lives. The Law is: ‘energy follows attention’. Our Life Energy follows what we focus our attention on and subsequently receives ‘life force’. And what we focus on, make payment to, the attention grows!

The Law of Attraction:

A bit of chemistry on your screen: everything around us consists of molecules. You, me, the chair you’re sitting on, the computer. Everything. These molecules consist of atoms. And those atoms, they vibrate. Even though something appears to have a solid shape, it still ‘vibrates’; it has a frequency. Why is this important? Well, the ‘Law of Attraction’ says: similar vibrations, or ‘frequencies’, attract each other. This means that when we emit energy (whether consciously or not), this energy multiplies itself by attracting like energy.

Perhaps a recognizable example: you enter the supermarket feeling grumpy and then someone hits your ankles with the cart. Exactly what you came for is sold out. There is a huge line at the cash register and the cashier is downright catty.

Or…. You enter that same supermarket with a radiant smile. Everyone greets you kindly. It turns out you get an extra discount. It’s your turn right away and you have a super pleasant conversation with the cashier.

Most people are not aware of this. ‘Mastery’ means that you are aware of what you send out or have sent out and that you take responsibility for this.

The Law of Karma (the ‘Law of Cause and Effect’): all energy returns to its source

A simple saying: you reap what you sow. That describes the Law of Karma in a nutshell. Everything is energy. And we continuously send energy into the world, through our thoughts, feelings, words and actions. This energy always comes back to the source. Whether it was sent out a long time ago, or only recently; that does not matter. Everything we say, everything that we think (our thoughts), and all we do have consequences to them. We receive what we have consciously or unconsciously sent out back in our lives. Fortunately, there is the Spiritual ‘Law of Forgiveness’, which we can invoke to free ourselves from this karmic return of energy.

Why is it helpful to know this?

Why is it so important that you learn these Laws? Very simple: ignorance about this creates chaos, pain and suffering and causes history to repeat itself. It can seem like everything just ‘happens’ to you. You see no connections between energy that was once sent out and what you now see in your life.

When you know and honor the Spiritual Laws, you free yourself from this ‘loop’ and life becomes real.
